Amber Pumpkin Ale

Postby Mark Ranes » Tue Nov 20, 2012 10:39 pm

Tonight I roasted about 8 pounds of pumpkin for a holiday inspired ale that I'm brewing tomorrow. The pumpkin will go in the mash for a standard, relatively low IBU, amber ale. I'll be adding just a hint of pumpkin pie spice to evoke the holiday spirit in my family. It should be an interesting brew day:)

Sounds like a great beer. How did the brew day go?

Easy day. It's a crazy active fermentation:)

I'll bring a sample to a gathering...

Mark, How did the pumpkin ale taste? We are actually going to brew this week a pumpkin ale.
